Lisa Levy

(She/ Her/ Hers)

Lisa Levy has a masters degree in educational psychology with an emphasis on Counseling from the University of Texas at Austin. After her experience as both a career and personal counselor at Universities, she worked in human resources specializing in training and development, and performance management. Once she had children, she realized the importance of advocacy for kids who may somehow fall outside the lines of what may be seen as typical. She founded and ran stretch.play.yoga, an organization aimed at teaching children confidence, resilience, and coping skills through the use of yoga practices. She also became active within her local schools and districts. When Lisa's oldest child came out as non-binary, she became an LGBTQ+ advocate, starting the first ever LGBTQ+ task force of teachers, administrators, counselors and students within the SRVUSD. She also was the previous President of PFLAG Danville- San Ramon Valley where she supported family members of LGBTQ+ individuals, advocated for more inclusive spaces, and built up the chapter’s focus on community education. She has been delivering education and inclusivity audits within her local East Bay community as well as across the US and internationally. Lisa is the parent of three amazing kids- two of whom identify within the LGBTQ+ community.

Elisa Tinker

(She/Her/Hers)

Elisa Tinker is the mother of three young adult children. She has a son, a daughter, and a non-binary child.  Her non-binary child never “came out”, but rather showed outwardly in many ways by the age of three that they did not identify as one binary gender.  PFLAG was a fantastic resource and support as Elisa learned more about how to support her gender non-conforming child.  Elisa has served on the Board at PFLAG Danville/ San Ramon as Community Educator and continues to volunteer for the chapter.  She delivers presentations and conducts inclusivity audits throughout the  East Bay community, across the country and internationally on gender outside the binary and how to support LGBTQ+ individuals.  Elisa also collaborates with staff at schools in the SRVUSD, LVJUSD, CVUSD, DUSD, and PUSD to build more inclusive and equitable cultures in our schools.

"Great presentation- clear, thorough, effective and engaging! The game made it very interesting and sparked room for conversation with my colleagues. The tools provided were very useful as well"

"I appreciated the sheer volume and range of topics presented as well as the humility and care with which you approached the questions that required more self-searching from participants. "
